Mortgage Rates - Week In Review
Mortgage rates rose for the second week as mortgage backed security bond yields climbed higher. The 30 year fixed mortgage increased to 5.25%-5.375% for the week ending July 29.
Mortgage security yields rose slightly higher this week on market optimism that the economy is starting to improve.
The MBA said mortgage application volume fell for the first time in three weeks thanks to a 10% drop in refinances.
